Happy 2017!!
I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy to welcome a new year.
I think it is safe to say that 2016 was a bit of a crapshoot (my inner Star Wars
fan is still crying) but it had some high points that were appreciated as well.
I learned so much about myself, I honed in on confidence that I had lost, I
tried my hardest to take advantage of opportunities that presented themselves
and I tried to focus more on the good than the bad. 2017, to me, is an
opportunity to continue to develop into the person I want to be. It means being
open to change, continuing to not care what others think, devoting more time to
things I love (like writing and photography) and being a champion for others (I’ll
always be your biggest cheerleader). Most of all I am grateful to have the
opportunity to live this life, to enjoy the moments that I’ll never forget with
the circle I have surrounded myself with. Here’s to the next 361 days, what
will you do with them?
xx
Every year a group of
my friends and I take a trip to one of my favorite little towns; Rincon, Pr. This
year our trip happened to land days after Christmas and during New Year celebrations.
The week was much need and it provided me with new creative inspiration, lots
of laughs (the power plant for the town of Rincon literally caught fire on NYE leaving
the town in a blackout, seriously, I cant make this shit up lol) and allowed me
to start the year with a damn good tan. Here are some pictures from the trip
