Thankful
With as fast paced as life is at this age its incredibly
easy to forget to be thankful for everything that is good in your life. Today,
more than any day, I am reminded how lucky I am to just be here.
I’m
thankful for my family. Things may be different and some people may not be with
us anymore, but I am more grateful than every to have the parents that I do and
the extended family that I have. I wouldn’t be who I am with out them.
I’m
thankful to wake up every morning and breathe in the salt air. I forget
sometimes that most people pay to stick their toes in the sand. Living at the
beach is such a peaceful thing.
I’m
thankful for the friendships that I have, both old and new. My friends are some
of the sweetest, most kind and genuine people in the world. I know I can count on them for anything and that no matter how
many miles separate us, things will never change.
I’m
thankful for my health, because waking up everyday and being able to run is a privilege
not a right. I might complain about a cold, but it could always be worse and
sometimes I need reminded of that.
Most of all
I’m thankful to be in such a positive place in my life. It took a long time,
but I’m finally living life the way I want to. I’m making decisions that make me happy and I’m doing it all while
trying to better myself everyday.
Thanksgiving is a special holiday because it reminds us all
to stop and be grateful for the things we have, but take a second and think
about those who might not be as lucky as you. Do something positive today.
Happy
Thanksgiving,
xxxx
